Exploration on Education for Contemporary Female Sangha
In the trend of directing Buddhism towards globalization, and following Buddha’s compassion, wisdom, and altruism, Buddhist women around the world today are devoted to cultural education, social services, and the fostering of Buddhist leaders, in an effort to universally improve the human race’s life qualities.
This symposium has invited scholars, educators, and workers in the field of bhikkhuni education from different countries, with their insight and wisdom to explore and establish a model for modern day bhikkhunis’ education. It is our hope that with these collaborations, we may be able to promote Buddha’s teachings with kindness, compassion, and selfless spirits, so we may improve the welfares of our societies.
